Windows 8 / 8.1 – Reset Forgotten Password Including Administrator
Windows 8 comes with a powerful control panel for multiple user accounts. You can create new accounts and assign password protections. The Control Panel also lets you change your password or remove an account.
You can do this by clicking on the user name and choosing ‘Change Password’. If you forget your password, you can reset it by clicking on the ‘Reset Password’ option. Your Windows 8 administrator account is also available if you forget your password.
To reset the administrator password, click on ‘Reset a Password’ and click Next. Finally, enter the new password and click Next.
How To Remove Login Password At Startup On Windows 8 /windows 8.1
If you forget your password on Windows 8 or 8.1, you can reset it by restoring from a backup. If you don’t have a backup, you can use the Windows Recovery Tool to create one.
After the backup is created, you can reset the password using the “Reset your PC” option in the Recovery Tool.
If you don’t have a backup or the Recovery Tool doesn’t work, you can use a third-party software to reset the password. One such tool is PassReset by iSoftstone.
It’s capable of resetting all types of passwords, including those of administrators. The tool also recovers login passwords for Windows 10 and 8.1.
One other thing to keep in mind is that you can change your password after logging in with the old one. So, if you forget the old password and use a different one, you can change it later to the old one after logging in with the new one and then change it back to something else once you are comfortable with how things are working.
This way, if you ever forget your password again, you can still reset it using a backup, if you have one, or by changing it back to what it used to be if not.
