The Decline Of Jcpenney…what Happened
JCPenney is one of the largest retailers in the United States and is a part of the department store group of companies which also includes Macy’s and Bloomingdale’s. The company was founded in 1902 and has been operating ever since. However, in recent years the company has experienced significant financial difficulties and has struggled to compete with larger rivals such as Walmart.
As a result, JCPenney has been forced to close many of its stores across the country and has had to restructure its operations in order to remain profitable. The decline of JCPenney is a worrying sign for the broader retail industry and suggests that there is a strong trend towards online shopping which poses a significant threat to traditional brick-and-mortar stores.
What Happens If I Dont Pick Up My Jcpenney Order?
If you don’t pick up your order by the time for delivery, you’ll be charged a fine of $10. If an order is not picked up within the next 7 days after the order was placed, customers will be charged a late fee of $5. This applies to all orders that have been shipped out and will continue to apply if the customer does not claim their items for 30 days.
In addition, if an order is returned as undeliverable or damaged, JCPenney may charge you a restocking fee. The restocking fee is equal to 20% of the purchase price or $25, whichever is greater.
