To disable your Instagram account, you have to log into instagram.com. Then tap or click your profile picture and go to the edit profile option. Then select temporarily disable my account and you will be able to login again after sometime.
How do I deactivate my Instagram on Iphone?
Go to @instagram.com on the site. You will be prompted to change your profile. You will then be shown what is wrong with your account, and will have the option to re-enter your password and temporarily disable your account.
