YouVersion is a leading Bible app, with millions of users across the world using it to read the Bible and share their faith.
It was founded in 2008 by Tony Morrison, who saw a need for an easy way to take the Bible with you everywhere. Since then YouVersion has expanded from being a ministry to become a global community, committed to sharing God’s Word and changing lives.

Tony shares about the motivation that led him to start YouVersion: “I remember watching my dad read the Bible on his retreat down in Georgia, and I didn’t understand anything he said. I felt like he was talking another language.

So I wanted to find a way for people to hear God’s voice right in their own language—in their own words. The Bible App is available on all devices, including iOS and Android phones and tablets, as well as Amazon Fire TV and Fire Stick.
There are currently over 40 Bible translations available, and the app includes a Bible reading plan that allows you to track your progress through the Scriptures. The app also allows you to share verses with friends and family via email, Facebook, and Twitter.

To play audio from the app, simply tap on the “Bible Audio” icon next to the book you would like to read. You can also listen to an audio version of any verse if you prefer. If you would like to read along with the text in your Bible app, please note that this feature is not available for all translations.
