CD Baby publishes music and sells it to a company that also takes 15% of songwriters’ royalties. That money is then going to be shared with songwriters.
What percentage does CDBaby take?
With the help of CD Baby, we take a 15% commission from the total publishing royalties for each songwriter on our staff. The rest of this percentage is funneled to Songwriters, where they then receive 85% of all collected publishing royalties themselves.
