1. Mounting Your Onn Soundbar on the Wall – Preparing for Installation

Mounting your Onn Soundbar on the wall should be straightforward if you follow simple procedures. Begin the process by drilling two parallel holes (about 100mm each according to the type of well) on the wall. The distance between the holes should be about 58mm.

You may want to consult a professional installer to handle this installation. Installing your soundbar incorrectly can result in serious personal injuries or damage to your device. You must have a knowledge of wiring installations and even plumbing within the walls that can affect your installation. You must understand that your wall must be stable enough to handle Onn soundbar installation. It is also important that you have all the tools ready before you commence installation.

Do not over-tighten the screws of the device to the wall. Keep the instructional manual at hand as a guide. You can use the electronic stud finder to identify your wall type before drilling and mounting.

2. Product Wall Mounting – Other Steps

The next step is to fix firmly the dowel that measures 10.2 x 30mm in diameter and length into each hole before you proceed. Solid walls like solid brick or solid concrete, or solid wood or solid wood battens are the best for wall-mounting of Onn soundbar. Walls like plaster walls, drywall, and lath walls may not be ideal for mounting the soundbar.

Insert a screw TA 9.4mm (this is not included in the package) into each of the anchors. Leave about a 6mm gap between the wall and the screw head. Lift the soundbar unit over the screw’s head before slotting it into place.

Common Issues With Onn Soundbar And Fixing Them

There are a wide range of issues that can affect the soundbar, and these are the commonest ones and their possible solutions;

1. Soundbar Turns Off while the Sound is Still Playing

If there is an issue with your soundbar turning off at a certain time, you should check the energy-saving settings.

Soundbars do shut down after a while in a bid to conserve power when not in use. Sound soundbars can be more sensitive than others, especially to sound volume. You may want to adjust the volume of the soundbar or change the power settings to avoid shutting down.

2. The soundbar is Sounding, Not Better than the TV Sound

There are some top-end soundbars that don’t sound better than the TV. In most cases, the connection between the soundbar and the device may be faulty; hence that should be your first point of call. Sometimes soundbar may not be playing the sound at all while the TV speakers are still working.

The RCA cable connected to the soundbar must be checked, so also is the digital optics and HDMI cables. Check to see that the connections are tight. You may want to check the manual and see if cables are directly attached properly.

3. No Sound Coming from the Soundbar

In some cases, you may not receive any sound from your soundbar. As expected, this could be a result of a faulty connection. There are many input and output ports at the back of the soundbar; check that the right wires go into the right port.

You must also check the format of the content being played to ensure that it is compatible with the soundbar output. Sometimes, Bluetooth connectivity might be the issue. If your device is out of range, there might have been a disconnection between the soundbar and the device. Make sure the device is reconnected and kept within range to sustain the tune.

Always refer to your soundbar manual for any connectivity issue.
