You can now enter an email address that you want to use instead of your old one and then choose Next > Done. You will be taken back to the main screen where you will see a new entry for Gmail with its own icon next to it.
Select this new icon and enter your password/PIN as usual. At this point, your account should be active and ready to be used on any device that you sign into with it.
