At its inception, the company funded its operations through two rounds of seed financing, raising $2 million from investors including Sutter Hill Ventures and O’Leary Ventures. Some people think that this means that all of their accounts will be closed when they turn 20 years old. However, these rumors are not true. These shutdowns are just part of how Chime keeps customers from getting too many messages over the course of a year.

Why Can’t I Create A Chime?

There are a few things you need to know about creating a Chime.
First, Chimes are tied to your stats. You can only have one Chime per stat, so you can’t stack them like you could with rings and amulets.

You also can’t add more than 1-2 points of any stat on top of the existing value.
Second, Chimes cannot be upgraded using gold or Crystal Energy if they are earned in the Adventure mode. Instead, they must be upgraded using Ancient Energy.

Third, Chimes can only be upgraded once every five levels. They will not level up when you do so.
Fourth, if a Chime is lost while it is in your inventory, it will never reappear again.

Therefore, make sure to keep track of your Chimes carefully!

What Are The Cons Of Chime?

There are a few reasons why you can’t create a Chime. First, Chimes are tied to your account and subscription type. So Chimes will only be available to subscribers who have purchased a subscription of that type.

If you purchase a monthly subscription but then decide to try out an annual subscription, you may not be able to create a new monthly subscription for another year because the term would have expired by the time it was created. Second, Chimes are tied to your download count. So if you download several albums in one month and then start downloading less frequently, your Chime status may change and you may no longer be eligible to receive Chimes.

Third, Chimes can only be sent once per day (although Apple Music does offer limited exceptions for certain users). So if you are downloading multiple albums each session, you may need to download them twice or more before being eligible for Chime rewards.

Fourth, there is no way to see how many Chimes you have earned until they are sent out.

So while it may seem like you are earning Chimes quickly when you first start using the service, it may take weeks or months before any rewards are actually delivered. Fifth, using another Mac or iOS device when creating a new Chime may affect your account.
